AIRPORTS
RIC - by
far, the easiest and best airport is the Richmond Airport. The hotel
(Doubletree) is located at the airport, and has a 24 hr shuttle service to
and from the airport (call the hotel at 804-226-6400 to have the shuttle
pick you up). Most major carriers fly into Richmond, however smaller ones
such as Southwest do not. We recently did get Jet Blue. The disadvantage
of Richmond is that it is typically the most expensive airport in the area
to fly in and out of.

AID - Washington
Dulles - This airport is about a 2 hr drive to the Hotel, possibly longer if
there is a traffic issue. Traffic shouldn't be too bad on Sunday for
arrival. Departure depends on time. Typically Washington Dulles is much
cheaper than Richmond. In addition, if you have a flight to Richmond that
goes through Washington Dulles, that short flight in a small plane is often
delayed or cancelled, so you may want to consider just driving from Dulles.
Norfolk -
Norfolk airport is approx. 1 hr drive from the hotel. Some of the cheaper
carriers fly into Norfolk, such as Southwest.
